The College Search

So, today I was looking at colleges. For me, the ideal college includes the following.....

1. A TV station that lets students on air
2. Reasonable distance away from home and camp (12 hours or less)
3. Friendly staff
4. Higher chance of getting a job after commencement.

That being said, I've found three colleges with highly regarded stations and good atmospheres. They are....

1. Iowa State University
2. North Dakota State University
3. Drake University

I like ISU the best currently, as they have a diverse program lineup that runs throughout the whole day, including a half hour newscast and a fifteen minute express news. It'd be a great school to launch me into broadcast journalism! My friend also tells me they have one of the best journalism programs in the country!

I also heard today that I can start sending in registration papers (yay). I think I finally have this narrowed down!  Start the happy dance!

A Post About Snow

Snow is something many of us seem to be bi-polar about, myself included.  We love it when the first snowfall of the year graces it's way through our area, but by March we're sick of it and ready for Spring.  It coats the roads, causes car accidents, and sends people to supermarkets in droves, because everyone's worried that this will be the last time they ever make it out of their house for the next few days, which never really seems to be the case thankfully. Regardless of that though, lots of us love a good snow.  Think of the things we have to be thankful for when the snow flies.  We are now able to go (if there's enough snow), sledding, skiing, have snowball fights, and build snowmen. There are tons of things to do when that first winter storm hits, and we should enjoy it while we can.  I've been regretting not being able to take part in Winter activities these past few years due to my numerous prior commitments, but maybe this will be the year

TikTok: Why.... Just Why?

It's a day off and I'm sitting at home scrolling through the Snapchat stories of my friends and co-workers.  I'm just leaving one person's story and moving onto the next, but first I have to watch an advertisement, because Snapchat needs to make money somehow doesn't it? I look at the screen, and for some reason a teenaged dude is just chilling there in a white suit and clown makeup lip syncing to some song I've never heard of before.  The screen is split though, so you know someone else must be coming to join him, right?  Well low and behold not even five seconds later another teenager in a black suit with his hair groomed to resemble a sheep and blue/black skin steps in and starts lip syncing to another part of the song where a different person seems to sing.  The ad cuts out not long after that, and I'm back with my Snapchat stories.
