The Things We're Not That Great At

I will never be able to process a linear equation or complete a scientific notation problem without a bunch of struggling first.  That's the kind of thing I'm talking about today when I say "things we're not great at".  It could range from anything though.  Perhaps we're not too stellar at cooking, or our cleaning skills leave a lot to be desired.  Whatever it is, let's not focus on that for a few minutes....

Today, I'm here to pump you up, and I hope you'll take this to your friends and neighbors.  The basic message I hope to share with you is that there is something you're awesome at doing, and we can all share our "special skills" with others.  For example. let's say Bob is not good with reading, but instead he is an absolute whiz in the automotive shop and will have your brakes repaired in no time for prices so low you'd only dream of them.  Or perhaps Liza can't drive too well but in return she can whip up a mean taco salad.  Again, it's the little examples like these that define a person.  It should be about what we can do, not what we can't do.

I would like to invite you to let your talents shine today and everyday.  Maybe you failed Introduction To The Short Story in high school, but you can still write a mean five paragraph essay that gets the point across. Or maybe you're not too effective at turning your ideas into words, but you're still a kicka** communicator with your friends.  No matter what it is, let's all let our talents shine, and don't let someone back us into a corner of conformity or where we're too scared to speak up for ourselves or what is morally right/wrong.  Be your own person, and let your true talents shine!

What are your special talents?  Share them in the comments!  Maybe a video or a picture to show the world!
