How Does Weird Al Do It?

Weird Al Yankovic is a man who has been writing song parodies since he was a child.  Unlike most, he's still going strong in his 50's.  I have yet to watch one of his videos, but I just have to wonder, how does he do it?  There are so many acts that are one and done or gone after a few years.  Take for example PSY, who took the world by storm with Gagnam Style in Fall 2012, but now is never heard of almost two years later.  Also Justin Bieber, who has stopped releasing music since his arrest.   Weird Al just keeps finding ways to make things funny and original I guess.  I'm going to watch those videos someday, but the time this week just doesn't alot it.  On the same note, I hope if I go into an acting career (becoming more and more unlikely) I hope I can keep things funny and fresh, as with that type of occupation,if you have no work, you become poor. See you later!  Follow me on Google + if you have one!

Confession Time

This blog post was inspired by something I recently read on a friends' blog, so credit for the idea goes to her. I'd also recommend checking her blog out as it's quite interesting.  Here's the link! So anyways, we all have some things we want to get off our chest right? But sometimes we're not exactly ready to share with the world some of our deepest secrets.  I am not going to tell you my life story or share anything I would regret sharing.  I hope you do the same and only share what you think the world is ready to know about you. I sometimes find it very hard to keep interest in things.  This includes my attention span and all things related. When I'm writing a story, if I feel I've hit a brick wall, the usual response is to stop wherever I am and never pick up the pen for that particular piece again.   I am not the biggest fan of chocolate.  I'll take cookies and ice cream over that stuff anyday. I don't even know what the way to my heart

What Three Weeks Of Camp Counseling Taught Me This Year

I just finished two straight weeks of camp counseling.  There was another one before the two but I was home over the 4th of July week so I had a break. There are many things you can learn from counseling, and I've listed out below some of the main things I learned this year. Giving a devotional is not so hard if you prepare beforehand It's usually a bad sign when dogs reek of compost Don't change yourself for other people. Live proudly. It's best to practice telling your personal testimony on your own before sharing it with an audience. I can swim a kayak back to camp from a thousand yards away Always untangle the ropes of the flagpole before flag raising Know more things about nature before leading a "nature walk"  Jr. High age campers need close guarding  My announcing skills can be put to use in more places besides on the job and at school. A guy can make girls cry through poetry.  Goodbyes can be both happy and sad. I met a lot of new peop
