A Sampler Of My Grad Pictures

Image
Well it's time to get sentimental this morning.  Yes, graduation time is coming up, and before we know it we'll be walking down the aisle to Pomp & Circumstance and throwing hats up in the air! Part of Senior Year is Grad Pictures, and even though I'm not necessarily a fan of taking pictures in general I was happy to see that these turned out alright.  The ones with the drums were taken on September 7th, and the ones with me in green flannel were taken October 16th.  Enjoy!

Don't Worry Be Happy (2 Timothy 2:3)

Here's some Friday motivation for you! Today, I'm inviting you to stop stressing out about your next big exam, or worrying about where your financial situation will go next, as well as all of life's other situations.  It's Fridays, and Fridays are the best day of the week, and they are for one thing, and that's being happy.  Snoopy is always happy lol. I don't think I've ever seen this character sad unless of course it's that hospital strip Peanuts ran in the 1990's when he was sick.  Peanuts is such an enjoyable cartoon for everyone.  So if you're worrying about something, I invite you to just take a few moments to go enjoy the fresh breeze and sunshine, or dance in the rain like nobody's watching, and just take a step back and look at your life and everything you have, because sometimes it's quite a bit more than others.  Just relax, and know that in the end, everything will be OK.  God sometimes puts us through trials

Why I'm Never Going Canoeing With Small Children Again

This story is about a wild adventure that happened while canoeing at Story Book Lodge in the Summer of 2014.  I just used it as my personal narrative for my college writing class and now I'm sharing it with everyone.  Happy Reading! ~ DJ Rollie D             It was July of 2014, and I was just finishing up my last week of counseling for the year at Story Book Lodge.  Story Book is a Christian Camp and it plays host to almost two thousand kids and then about twenty or thirty families over the course of eleven weeks each and every summer.  It was also where about thirty or forty counselors made their home at some point over the course of their vacations or breaks from work.  It was a beautiful place, surrounded by lots of beautiful trees and hills.  There was also the lake, a deep lake that was part of the Embarrass River Chain, which consisted of several lakes.  This lake was going to be the source of an adventure for me on this day, and I just didn’t quite know it yet.
